About the Photo
The first rays of the hot summer sun illuminate the textured ridges of Zabrinskie Point in Death Valley National Park, California. Death Valley is often considered one of, if not the, hottest place on earth. Even at sunrise, once the sun hits in the summer, the temperatures in Death Valley rise rapidly. The almost lunar-like landscapes make for interesting abstract photos like this.
