Photographic Story

Tulip season was in full bloom when I visited the famous dutch windmill of Wamego, Kansas! This windmill is a testament to John Schonoff who built a windmill on his farm north of Wamego in the 1800s. Each year, people come from all over Kansas and beyond for the tulip festival in Wamego. If the timing is right, tulips bloom perfectly below the windmill creating this beautiful scene! I was a little late for the redbuds to be in full bloom as they started to transition from their purple to summer green, but still added a nice touch to the scene.
