Photographic Story

For years, I tried to capture the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights in Kansas. I went to Quivira National Wildlife Refuge to shoot some Milky Way scenes, and hopefully get a good star trails shot as well. After shooting the camera north, I noticed purple pillars in the center of the image, and realized the aurora had far enough south to capture on camera!
