Photographic Story

The Watchman stands tall above Crater Lake as bands of late autumn snow drift in and out of the scene, blurring parts of the famous mountain. The sun tries to push through the clouds, giving the Watchman an ethereal look. When I shot this, I also looked the other direction and found a rare and amazing brocken spectre being cast down towards the lake. This is when your shadow is casted opposite of you with a rainbow-like halo around your silhoutte. By the time I turned the camera around to shoot it, it had almost completely faded and never returned.
