About the Photo
In late September, the sunflower season is usually well past it. In 2019 thought, a couple of fields lingered. Some even into October! This one was taken up near Topeka at Berry Hill UPick. I was worried that the sun would be completely shrouded by clouds as I drove up, but was pleasantly surprised to get five minutes or so where the sun popped out and gave me some color to work with. I am usually gearing up to head to Colorado for fall colors in late September, not shoot sunflowers! But on this year, I did just that!
