About the Photo
The moon begins to rise over Monument Rocks in Western Kansas as the Milky Way glows across the horizon. I was lucky enough to have my camera pointed to the right part of the picture when a fireball flew through the sky. I caught the tail end of it in one of the images used to stitch this together. It looks like a small coment in the middle right part of the image. I also used this opportunity to take a self-portrait in the archway below the moon. Airglow added a little bit of green and pink hues to the sky.
