Photographic Story

I had already driven over 600 miles from Jasper, Alberta, down the Icefields Parkway and across most of British Columbia when I reached the edge of the coastal range of mountains north of Vancouver. After stopping briefly in Lillooet, the mountain scenery became very foggy and misty. The drive from Lillooet down to the coast at Vancouver was an experience I will never forget. Much of the drive was after dark, but what I saw of this area makes me want to go back. This shot is at a lake in the south-eastern part of the coastal mountain range, sometimes called the Great Bear Forest. It's one of the greatest ranges of wilderness.
