About the Photo
Not far from the more famous slot canyon Antelope Canyon lies Rattlesnake Canyon where I shot this wave like texture. While Antelope Canyon all about getting the famous light beams and being ushered place to place, Rattlesnake Canyon was about taking my time and trying to find beautiful scenes and details, such as this interesting sandstone texture. The way the light plays off the sandstone from top to bottom is intense. From the warmer top where the sunlight nearly touches and gives an orange color to the lower purples and reds at the bottom where the sandstone forms a curve or wave, the details and colors in these formations are amazing!
