Photographic Story

I wish the weather and lighting had cooperated better when we visited Montreux and the Chateau de Chillon castle. The area was simply gorgeous, but it was not a good day to shoot photos at all. I still managed to pull this one off with the hazy Alps in the background of the castle. The lake shown here is the eastern edge of Switzerland's most famous lake, Lake Leman (Lake Geneva). Chillon is located in the commune of Veytaux just a short walk from Montreux. The castle itself is likely around a thousand years old.
