About the Photo
The Ozarks of Kansas are a stark reminder that the age old saying of Kansas being flatter than a pancake is not really true in many cases. This was shot via drone above a bend in Shoal Creek just a few miles from the Missouri border. These cliffs hold some small caves, while Schermerhorn Park can be seen throughout most of the image. Schermerhorn Park, located just a few miles south of the town of Galena on Route 66, hides the largest public cave in Kansas.
